Overview
Civil works and earthworks are where every Current job starts. You take raw or tight ground and turn it into a platform you can build on. Our scope covers site clearance, bulk and detailed excavation and general earthworks, then soil improvement, enabling works, shoring, dewatering and both shallow and deep foundations. We've done it on hard ground. Soil improvement under the Galala villas, the R1 buildings and the Port Said halls, and a 20×20 m seawater intake at Sidi Kerir dug 15 m deep, cast with 60 cm retaining walls and leak-tested in live marine conditions.
We run our own crews, plant and surveyors, so the work doesn't get handed down a subcontracting chain. That keeps the programme in our hands and lets us control the workmanship where it's actually done, at the face. Our own QA/QC checks compaction, levels and concrete on every lift, and our safety system governs the excavation, dewatering and confined-space work this trade lives and dies by. Whether it's a desert mobilisation in Libya with a full base camp or a tight urban plot hemmed in on every side, we set the site up the same disciplined way and hand it over clean.
What’s included
- Site clearance & bulk earthmoving
- Excavation, shoring & dewatering
- Shallow & deep foundations / piling
- Roads, paving & hardscape
- Drainage, utilities & backfill
- Soil improvement & ground stabilisation
- Enabling works & site setup, including remote base camps
- Underground utility networks, water wells & treatment-plant civil works
How we deliver it
We plan the job off the survey and soil reports before anything moves, so the cut-and-fill, the groundwater and any ground-improvement scope are settled up front. Our own crews and plant do the earthworks and foundations, and we sequence them around the structural and MEP trades that follow so nobody sits waiting on us. We test as we go: compaction per layer, levels, and rebar and concrete at every pour. Where it's a water-retaining structure we leak-test it first. Then we hand over on programme with the records to back it.
How we deliver
Survey & ground assessment
We check the topographic and geotechnical data, read the soil investigation reports, and set the cut-fill balance, groundwater conditions and any soil-improvement scope before a machine moves.
Enabling works & mobilisation
Our crews put in the access, hoarding, temporary utilities and site facilities, up to a full desert base camp on remote sites, with our own plant fleet deployed and inspected.
Earthworks & foundations
Excavation, shoring, dewatering, soil improvement and foundation works run under continuous QA/QC: compaction tests per layer, level checks, and rebar and concrete inspections at every pour.
Testing & handover
We prove the work before we hand it over. Plate-load and density results, as-built surveys, and where it's needed full leak testing of water-retaining structures, all documented and signed off.
