Scope
We worked under the main contractor, Alfanar, on an EPC basis. Our part was the civil works and the concrete structures for HVDC converter stations in Riyadh, which feed into Saudi Arabia's power-transmission network. On a converter station there's no room for tolerances to drift. The heavy equipment foundations, the valve-hall structures and the specialised concrete all had to hit the dimensional and quality criteria set by the main contractor and the end operator.
We delivered through 2024. Our Quality and HSE systems had to line up with Alfanar's standards from day one. We put skilled crews and resources across several work fronts at once, and we kept in close contact with the main contractor's engineering and installation teams so the concrete works stayed on schedule. Safety was never traded off to get there.
Hitting the main contractor's Quality and HSE standards on complex converter-station concrete work, while keeping several work fronts resourced at the same time.
We deployed skilled crews and resources where they were needed, matched our QA/QC and HSE systems to Alfanar's requirements and coordinated tightly across every interface.
The concrete structures were finished on schedule and to standard, with no compromise on safety and full acceptance by the main contractor.
