Scope
We took this on as a full EPC turnkey job for a Vodafone Egypt campaign. The site was a 50 m-diameter square in 6th of October City, and we had to turn it into a branded public landmark on a very tight clock. We finalised the design in one week. Then we ran construction around the clock and took the whole square from bare ground to unveiling in three weeks. In the middle sits a 20 m GRC structure carried on structural steel frames. We engineered, fabricated and erected it inside that same programme.
Around the centrepiece, four freestanding ancient-Egyptian Lotus columns rise from a raised podium, framing multi-level flower beds clad in marble and natural stone. We finished with landscape planting and integrated lighting, so the square reads well by day and by night. It was ready on the campaign's launch date, which never moved.
A campaign launch date that couldn't move, measured in weeks, with a 20 m landmark to design, engineer and build and no room in the schedule.
Design done in one week, then EPC work running 24/7. Steel erection, GRC installation, stone cladding, planting and lighting all ran in parallel.
The whole square, structure, Lotus columns, podium and landscaping, opened on time, three weeks after we broke ground.
