EMC Adidas Factory

A 250-ton steel frame with a 4,500 m² clear span across two floors, built for the fabric industry.

EMC Adidas

Scope

We built this 8,500 m² factory for Elite Merchandising Company (EMC) in the Free Zone at Borg El Arab, Alexandria, on an EPC and turnkey basis. The job was designed around what fabric manufacturing needs. The heart of it is a 250-ton steel structure that opens up a 4,500 m² clear span across two floors. No columns in the way, so the machinery sits where it needs to and the production line runs without breaks.

We ran every phase between 2018 and 2019: earthwork first, then the steel erection, then finishes, MEP and landscaping. It went in on time and met the Quality and HSE standards the client set.

Challenge

Open up a column-free 4,500 m² span across two floors so the fabric machinery and the production line have room to work.

Solution

Engineer and erect a 250-ton steel structure, and run the whole job under one EPC contract: earthwork, steel, finishes, MEP and landscaping.

Result

An 8,500 m² turnkey factory, handed over on time to the Quality and HSE standards the client set, ready to run.
